Mountains of Mourne

Mountains of Mourne, 3-5 octaves with optional flutes and 'cello, level 2, 2024, From The Top Music, 20321.

A setting of a traditional Irish folk tune which will stand alone but is enhanced by the optional addition of a cello and two flutes. It is filled with dynamics and expressive LV phrasings that flow gently throughout. The addition of a few echoes, tower swings, and even a gentle mart-lift add lovely texture to the overall sound, to evoke memories of the lush, green landscapes of Ireland. Commissioned for the Northern Bell Orchestra by Director Kate Sawalisch
